Battle and Milestone 2000 pts

After a good week...ish of rest I am back posting stuff. The battle over the weekend went well with me beating the Bretonians by many points. The game ended with me tabling him and only losing a Mournfang cavalry and a Sabertusk to the Trebuchet.

Not much else to say.

After the game, an incident happened where my opponent insulted one of the models on display for the painting competition whilst not realising that the creator was in the room. He was banned for the next day and therefore I couldn't play Mordheim with him.

Onto the miniatures then. I started converting my new Slaughtermaster with a hellheart only to realise that I had left my greenstuff elsewhere and so would have to wait a week to do the modelling. Here are some pics of him anyway.

Also some pictures of my finished army of 2000 pts for Saturday's game which will be fully documented. I am only missing the Stonehorn as it is too large to bring with me to school during the week.

There is gonna be a dry spell this week due to missing green stuff, paints and an opponent of any sort so untill sunday or saturday where I will update you with a battle report vs Chaos Dwarves.

Painting and Mordheim

Painting the miniatures went by quickly. They are not done but just have a slap dash paintjob as I will go into detail later

I still need to find a way to differentiate heroes from henchmen. Maybe a mark on the tabard or something

Anyway here are the pictures

The whole army

New Assassin miniature and thoughts for the future

After creating my assassin I decided that he needed a model that better represented his awesome wall-running, dive-charging nature. I started by cutting up bits of movement tray and glueing them together upwards like stairs.

The green stuff work was long and tiresome but in the end I had converted a regal cape a pistol on his belt and patched up parts where I bent his legs and arms into a more dynamic position. His two poisoned blades and pistols make him a beast in CC.

I want to start giving him skills and boosts so I will have him kill opponents to gain xp.

Here are the pics:

Mordheim and Gnoblars

I did not manage to play Mordheim this weekend as I was forced into a beginners game against a dark elf player and didn't have a proper opponent.

Anyway, Here are some photos of my gnew gnoblars.

I also converted a tyrant for my ogres army.

In other news I have redone the bases of many of my Mordheim models to give a more Skaven-y feel to them. Wyrdstone shards will be added to the bases once painting is done.

My assassin with two weeping blades and warplock pistols acts as my main hitting power. He makes charges against high value targets and groups of shooty henchmen far away to deal killing blows to them.

My wizard is currently useless. He only summons D3 giant rats at the start of each game, otherwise he walks around doing nothing.

The Black Skaven have kept the same miniatures as before. I use them to protect bands of men and perform diving charges with their high initiative and climbing claws.

My two night runners also do diving charges and are most useful to do that as they have low WS and Strength making them much better when diving and they have good initiative.

My two Spearmen as as interceptors and block charges to my clubmen as they have always strike first with their spears

Club/sling men sling and club people to death and get protected by the others. They also stun enemies to allow my heroes to finish them

Finally my giant rats protect by taking shots from in front as you need to shoot at the closest target to you and they also perform diving charges. They are useful as they are expendable. They do not count as anything as they are summoned from a spell.

Finally my rat ogre which I have not bought yet will be used as muscle to take and deal heavy amounts of damage as it can do that with ease.

Thoughts?
