Beastkin Ogres
The Beastkin Ogres clan lives in the north of the Mountains of Mourn near the Floating mountain and by the chaos wastes. Like the Sons of the Mountain clan, the Beastkin prefer to live towards the top of the mountain on which they reside as it allows them to be closer to the local wildlife which they strive to ride or hunt. The Beastkin hold the belief that they are more powerful on or alongside the beasts native to the mountains of mourn. In this capacity they frequently ride to battle atop mournfangs, rhinox and the larger, stonehorns and thundertusks. A ritual for every ogre of the clan is to climb the vines drooping from the floating mountain (No small feat for an ogre) and tame one of the many animals that roam it. The difficult part is not taming, but getting down with the beast.
The Beastkin make a relatively honest living by trading the ivory and minerals from the floating mountain and the beasts that reside there. the minerals are mined by the stonehorns who smash their skulls against the mountain incessantly. No ogre however makes a completely honest living and the ogres bully their "customers" to get the best price possible for their fine quality of product.
The "guts out" fights that usually precede the change in leadership are replaced by mournfang mounted brawls where the victor makes the loser eat his prized mournfang before killing him.
Tyrant: Jorag The Huntsman
When Jorag came of age (his ogre bar mitzvah or something) he ascended the vines of the floating mountain and disappeared for an entire week. One feast the thunder of hooves was felt as the vines swung on the bottom of the mountain, a massive stonehorn jumped from the mountain and landed in the centre of the clan followed by 3 mournfangs and 2 stonehorn cubs. Since then he has claimed leadership of the fight through right of battle killing the former tyrant and has been leading the clan ever since.
Slaughtermaster: Gorsag Gutslob
Gorsag is a unique kind of slaughtermaster in that his power fluctuates depending on the quality and quantity of the food he has eaten. It is said that his belches can be heard from far and wide and that his gut has no equal. These of course are not true but we all know how ogres love stories.
BSB: Lorg Rockspine
To prove himself to Jorag, Lorg ventured into a stonehorn graveyard and after several hours emerged with the skull of one of the mighty beasts on his back. from that day the skull has been used as the battle standard of the army and serves as a relic of the beastkin clan on the back of the mighty Lorg Rockspine. He manages to fight with the prowess of a bruiser whilst carrying the weight of a stonehorn's head on his back.
