Hobby Update and extra

Before we begin with the first of many discussions to come I would like to address my schedule on the right.

Questioning my rationality will be a series of posts where I discuss (against myself) topics that I have been thinking about and wanted to share my thoughts. Today I will be discussing Bruiser equipment as I will be converting my bruiser BSB soon and would like to ramble a bit to clear my head and fill it with ideas.

Hobby updates will be fairly simple with usually one unit done a week. I will also include my progress on a painting competition that I entering for my local GW where the model in question is my beloved Typhus

Extra-vaganza will be extra bits that I will do on the weekend such as army lists and some 40k things. They may also be tactical things for my game the following day and army lists.

Battle reports are subject to availability as there are not many fantasy players at my local store and my usual opponent is away.

I will be trying to post before 6: every day but there is no specific time of posting. If this format does not work I will change It up

With the formalities aside let's discuss (with myself) the Bruiser

Option 1: Heavy armour bruiser BSB: 185 pts
HA, Enchanted shield, Dragonhelm
Dawnstone, BSB
Greatweapon

2+ re-rolling yes please!! My opinion on BSB's is that they should be as heavily armoured as possible so this for me is the perfect kit. I do not like to take a magic battle standard as I believe they are better suited on the rank and file troops.

Option 2: Killy character bruiser: 144 pts
HA, Sword of anti heroes, Enchanted shield

I also like this Bruiser as it kills characters and troops striking usually at the same initiative as them to kill a few guys before my Ironguts strike to stave off some damage to them. I killed 3 dwarf longbeards before they could strike and stopped a single irongut from being killed so I got my full attacks for the unit

Option 3: Support cheap BSB: 144 pts
Brace of ogre pistols, HA, BSB

Ok, he adds an extra attack at a higher strength and initiative which is useful but I think that his armour is pretty weak which is not useful for a BSB. The shooting is also good whith a better balistic skill and the extra attack.

There are obviously many more options but these are the three that I am thinking of using.

Final option: Killy Tough BSB: 179 pts
HA, BSB, Dragonhelm, Enchanted shield
Sword of anti-heroes

I see this BSB as perfect as you are always going to face one character in a combat and 5 attacks at strength 6 initiative 3 are amazing not to mention that I play a very heavy character anvil opponent who packs his
units with lords and heroes.

P.S. this is my first fantasy army but have been reading the rules for a while. I admit that I am not an amazing player but I have been told by the more experienced players that my only tactical errors happen in the movement phase so I am working on it.
